
OUR BRANCH OF THE BLOCH FAMILY ORIGINATED IN HOENHEIM, ALSACE, FRANCE
The earliest records found are the 1784 census.
Our Great-Grandfather was the 4th of five children. The children were: Florette [born June 12, 1846], Henri [born April 14, 1847], Gabriel [born August 30, 1849], Achille [born May 16, 1852], and Solomon {also known as Samuel} [born January 10, 1855].
Henri, Achille, and Solomon immigrated to Brooklyn, New York, U.S.A.. Henri in May 1866 [age 19], Achille in May 1867 [age 15], and Solomon in June 1871 [age 16]. They each married and raised their families in Brooklyn, New York, U.S.A.
Florette and Gabriel remained in France. I have not been able to find any information about Florette. Gabriel and his wife Caroline Kahn had 10 children.
Gabriel and Caroline’s children were: Simon [born December 11, 1874], Marie [born March 24, 1876], Sarah [born January 26, 1878], Melanie [born October 6, 1879, Florette [born February 16, 1882], Agathe [born September 21, 1883], Benjamin [born May 30, 1885], Julius {Jules} [born January 3, 1887], Fanny {Fannie} [born October 25, 1888], and Bertha [born August 11, 1891].

Henri, Achille, Salomon et a immigré à Brooklyn, NY. Henri en Mai 1866 [19 ans], Achille en Mai 1867 [15 ans], Salomon et en Juin 1871 [16 ans]. Ils ont chacun soulevé mariés et leurs familles Brooklyn.
Florette et Gabriel est resté en France. Je n’ai pas pu trouver de l’information sur Florette. Gabriel et sa femme Caroline Kahn avait 10 enfants.
Gabriel et Caroline les enfants étaient les suivants: Simon [né Décembre 11, 1874], Marie [né en Mars 24, 1876], Sarah [né en Janvier 26, 1878], Melanie [né Octobre 6, 1879, Florette [né le 16 Février, 1882 ], Agathe [né Septembre 21, 1883], Benjamin [né Mai 30, 1885], Julius Jules () [né Janvier 3, 1887], Fannie Fanny () [né le 25 Octobre, 1888], et Bertha [né le 11 août , 1891].
J’ai été en mesure de trouver trois familles qui sont les arrière-petits-enfants de Gabriel.
